Privacy Policy
Last updated October 28, 2026
This policy explains what personal information TorahScrolls, a Lake Sedona product, collects, why, and the choices you have. We keep it short and collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and how you sign in. If you use a password, it is stored only in scrambled (hashed) form. If you use Google, we receive your name, email and Google account ID from Google.
- Your subscription: your plan, its status and renewal dates. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- What you save: saved verses, notes and journal answers, your reading progress and your settings, so they follow you to any device.
- Technical information: our hosting and sign-in providers keep standard logs (such as IP address, browser type and time of request) to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To run your account, give you access during your free week and plan, sync your reading across devices, send account emails (confirmation, sign-in links, password resets and receipts), keep TorahScrolls secure, and answer you when you contact us. We don’t sell your information, show ads or use advertising trackers.
Who helps us
We share information only with the companies that run parts of TorahScrolls for us, and only what they need:
- Supabase stores accounts and saved data and sends sign-in emails.
- Stripe processes payments and sends receipts.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google”, and serves the fonts the pages use.
These companies may store and process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible to authorities under local law. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Browser storage
We use your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and remember your settings. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete your account, we delete your account and saved data straight away. Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax and financial laws require. Backups are overwritten within a few weeks.
Your choices
You can see and change your email and password on your account page, and delete your account there at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct it, by contacting us. If you have a concern we can’t resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
TorahScrolls is not meant for children under 13 without a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information without permission, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we’ll let you know by email or in the app before the change takes effect.
